I'm Katy Downey,
Whole Health Fitness Coach

 

I’m a personal trainer, group fitness instructor and nutrition coach ready to help you get moving and have fun while doing it!

 

I believe that through movement and food you can realize your greater potential in life. When you make a commitment to yourself and your health, show up and do hard things, you realize you can do even harder things! My workouts will leave you feeling empowered, strong and ready to tackle whatever life has to throw at you.

 

As a mom of three boys and three enormous dogs, I understand that time is precious. My quick and effective workouts help you capitalize on the time you have and will leave you feeling energized to tackle the rest of your day.

My personal struggles with food and exercise have helped me create a strong foundation of daily health practices. I understand the importance of consistency and making tiny changes one day
at a time.

 

From a very young age, I struggled with my own body image and floundered in a sea of negative self-talk. I have battled eating disorders and weight loss obsession. I tried just about every quick fix and fad diet on the market. I spent years either over-weight and binge eating or in severe caloric restriction. Not to mention the countless treadmill and elliptical machine hours chasing the skinny bodies I saw in magazines, or on television and social media. Nothing I did was sustainable and after encountering what I consider to be a “health meltdown,” I realized that the answer wasn’t in a shake, pill or endless cardio.

 

The answer was in my daily habits. Making small changes like choosing healthier foods and incorporating strength training eventually grew into really BIG results. Those big results were not just physical, but mental and emotional too. I found gratitude and love for my body. 

Through my personal journey, I found ways to overcome daily life stressors and challenges while remaining consistent to my health practices and committed to my personal wellness.

My goal is to empower YOU through movement, nutrition and daily wellness practices. I want you to to step into your greatness and live your best WHOLE life!
